Passion Born from Tradition

My love for henna began long before I ever held a cone in my hand with professional intention. I grew up in a home where henna was deeply woven into culture and celebration — from Diwali preparations and traditional festivals to weddings filled with ritual, beauty, and meaning. I understood from a young age that mehndi is far more than decoration. It is a quiet language of expression, rooted in tradition and carried through generations.

As a child, I was endlessly drawn to it. I would instinctively doodle flowing patterns on anything I could find — paper, notebooks, even my own hands — without ever being taught. It felt natural, almost therapeutic, as though I was simply following something that already lived within me.

What began as a personal fascination has grown into a lifelong creative journey spanning over 20 years. Today, I work as a henna artist with a style that continues to evolve, always balancing tradition with a softer, more contemporary expression.

My background as a qualified somatologist and skincare therapist shapes my approach to every application, with a deep respect for skin health, care, and purity. This is why I use only 100% natural henna — a non-negotiable standard in my work.

Based in South Africa, I have had the privilege of working within a beautifully diverse cultural landscape, where henna is embraced as both an ancient art form and a meaningful expression of celebration and beauty.

My work has also been featured in media, including newspapers and television, allowing me to share not only my craft but also my appreciation for henna as a timeless and deeply personal art form.

For me, henna is never just applied — it is a gentle expression of heritage and individuality coming together, created with intention to honour each moment it becomes part of.

“Henna is not just an art form — it’s a bridge between people, between cultures, between moments in time.”

Every Design Begins with a Conversation

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to henna. The design you wear for your wedding mehndi should be an intimate reflection of your personality, your love story, and your cultural heritage. That’s why every engagement begins with a thorough consultation.

For brides, we spend considerable time during our trial session exploring design directions — scrolling through inspiration together, discussing the elements that resonate most deeply, understanding the significance of any motifs you’d like incorporated. When you sit down with me on your wedding day, there are no surprises — only beautiful fulfilment.

For events and individual appointments, the conversation is lighter and more spontaneous — but always present. I want you to feel seen, heard, and excited about what we’re creating together.
